ouch... my head hurts.
Today taught me that I think too hard. Either I don't think about something enough (or at all), or I think about it so hard that I ruin all of the possible excitement and fun.
It's not a bad thing that I am planning/thinking ahead for the future. I am happy I have some kind of idea of what I want. But until my ultimate life dreams are achieved, I need to be grateful for the present opportunities and achievements. I need to realize that my perfect dream life will not happen in one moment, instead it is actually unfolding little by little...during these present moments.
Thankful for today,

Time
I haven't blogged in the last few days, but that does not mean I haven't learned.
In fact, in the past few days I've learned it takes some time before you learn why things are happening, why people are behaving certain ways, etc.
A lot has happened in the past few days and I am still learning my lessons from the situations.
Here are two facts that I do know:
1) People will surprise you. Do not underestimate the power of a friendship. Even though some mishaps happen in friendships over time-- good, caring people will have your back.
2) Lamar Odom is a wonderful human being. Watching Khloe and Lamar tonight actually helped me with something I struggle with in my life. Lamar struggles with his father Joe. Joe is not the stereotypical father but Lamar reflects saying something like, " It's just the way he is. Some people get stuck in their ways." He is right. If you love someone and want to take advantage of all the precious time you have with that person--you take them just the way they are...EVEN if they are stuck in their ways.

Going Home
Jacksonville will ALWAYS be home. Even if my license plate says Georgia.
Celebrating special times with friends like Katherine (a middle school friend) gives me faith that true friendships really do persevere.
If anyone is interested in seeing photography talent take a look at Alex Michele Photography. She took Katherine and Derek's engagement photos and they look unbelievable. They even show up on the home page! Here is the link: Alex Michele Photography
Final thought: Arcade games never get old. Neither does fun dip or ring pops.

I'm too pooped to pop
Today taught me:
1) Growing up is exhausting. It comes with many responsibilities and procrastinating is not an option. Or at least a good one.
2) Being a mom takes patience. My mom has a lot.
3) Never lose faith.
Thankful for today,

Was grad school worth it?
Absolutely. Grad school was worth what I will owe in loans for however long. Unfortunately, it does not make paying loans back any more fun.
For those readers still in school-- PAY ON YOUR INTEREST NOW. It's chump change if you get started early. I "forgot" and "the website wouldn't let me log-in" so I just let it go. DUMB. Really dumb.
I just paid all of my interest today so now hopefully I can get on track to focus on the larger number.
Well federal government, it was nice to get that tax return in the mail, but the joke is on me. Bet you are laughing as you see that money come right back.
Oh, well. I am thankful today and thankful for the opportunities I had at the University of South Carolina.
